The care.data project has been postponed until the autumn.
We've decided to follow Ben Goldacre's advice to wait until May to see what improvements are made.
We hope NHS England will be honest and clear with patients about both the benefits and the risks of care.data, and provide a simple online opt-in or out-out, so we don't have to.
If not, we'll open up the doors again.
For the record, we think care.data has the potential to save many people's lives, and improve the NHS. But it has to be done right, with patients told the full story so they can make an informed decision.
